Fog Computing Architecture for Smart City Applications

Abstract
Smart city applications require low-latency data processing and efficient communication between connected devices. This paper presents a fog computing architecture designed to support smart transportation, environmental monitoring, and intelligent energy management systems. Fog nodes process data closer to end devices, reducing latency and bandwidth consumption compared to centralized cloud systems. Performance analysis demonstrates improved response time and reliability in real-time applications. The paper highlights the importance of integrating fog and cloud computing technologies for scalable and intelligent urban infrastructure.
