Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development: Transforming Resource Efficiency, Environmental Monitoring, and Climate Resilience
Main Article Content
Abstract
The increasing urgency of global environmental challenges has accelerated the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a transformative tool for sustainable development. This paper explores the role of AI in enhancing resource efficiency, optimizing energy consumption, improving environmental monitoring, and supporting climate resilience initiatives. By leveraging machine learning, predictive analytics, and intelligent automation, organizations and governments can make data-driven decisions that reduce waste, lower carbon emissions, and promote sustainable resource management. The study examines current applications of AI across sectors including energy, agriculture, transportation, and urban planning while highlighting associated challenges such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and energy consumption of AI systems. The paper concludes by proposing a framework for responsible and sustainable AI deployment that aligns technological innovation with environmental and societal goals.
